Tati Korba

The ninth head coach in program history, Tati Korba was hired as the head women’s soccer coach at Stevenson on June 27, 2017.

Joel Jean-Simon

Jean-Simon joined the Mustangs coaching staff as an assistant coach in October 2019.


Jean-Simon comes to Stevenson after serving as an assistant coach at Delaware State University for last two seasons. Last season, Jean-Simon was promoted to the Hornets assistant coach after serving as a volunteer assistant coach in 2017. With the team, he assisted with recruiting, on-field training sessions, fitness and technical sessions, as well as monitoring academic progress.


Also with Delaware State University, Jean-Simon served as the intern to the Associate Athletic Director of Events and Facilities as well as the graduate assistant for the softball team.


Most recently, Jean-Simon served as the U12 girls head coach for the Coastal Atlantic Football Club where he developed and executed practice plans for training sessions and developed technical and tactical player skills.


Jean-Simon played for Wesley College as a defender/midfielder from 2009-12, where he was a four year starter. As a senior, he was named captain.


Jean-Simon is a 2014 graduate of Wesley College where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. He went on to receive his Masters of Science in Sports Administration from Delaware State University in December 2017.

Albert Oni

Albert Oni comes to the Stevenson University women’s soccer program with a wealth of success and experience. As founder of Oni Premier Soccer Academy (OPSA), Albert develops teams that compete in several of the country’s top college showcase tournaments. OPSA teams participate in the highest leagues and have won the prestigious Maryland State Cup tournament in both outdoor soccer and futsal, multiple times. OPSA accomplishments also include joining the WPSL women’s league and earning the Coastal Conference Franchise of the Year award the first year in the league. WPSL also awarded Albert Coach of the Year for the East Region in 2012 when he coached the ASA Chesapeake Charge.


Serving as Head Coach of the girls’ varsity soccer team at Severn School from 2013-2022, Albert led the program to three championship appearances during his 9 seasons with the program. During his last season, the program finished with the best offense, scoring the most goals, and best defense, giving up the least number of goals in league play. He received Coach of the Year honors for Anne Arundel County, while winning the IAAM championship in 2021. At Severn School, Albert also mentored 7th grade students as their advisor, taught Physical Education, and coached the middle school basketball and tennis teams.


Prior to Severn, Albert was Towson University’s Assistant Coach for the women’s soccer team from 2010-2012. Playing in the highly competitive CAA conference, the team also competed outside the conference against national powers from the ACC, Big East, and Big 10 conferences. Albert gained invaluable experience recruiting, scouting, training, scheduling, supporting student athletes, and organizing college ID camps during his time at Towson.


For eight years he served as the head coach of Mercy High School’s Girls Varsity Soccer team. He was named the 2009 All-Metro Coach of the Year by The Baltimore Sun after leading the Mercy Magic to the IAAM “A” Conference championship game. He was also honored as the 2008 Baltimore City Coach of the Year by The Baltimore Sun.


Prior to coaching, Albert played professionally, both indoor and outdoor. He began his playing career with the Washington Warthogs in the CISL and ended with the Baltimore Spirit in the NPSL after a career ending knee injury. After retirement, Albert returned to school to complete a Sport Management degree from Towson University.


Albert played college soccer at Essex Community College where he was named to the All-Region XX first team as well as the All-Junior College Division I first team leading them to the National Championship falling short to Flo-Valley in the final. Albert finished his college career at UMBC winning the Big South conference title. In high school, Albert played at Springbrook High School in Silver Spring, MD where he had a significant role in his teams’ quest to win a regional championship. His performances that season brought him many personal accolades which culminated with him being chosen to the First Team All-County, and First team All-State selections.


Albert is very excited for this opportunity at Stevenson University. He hopes to bring his many years of acquired experiences to the program!
