Brandon Regan

Brandon Regan enters his first season as Head Coach of the Wheeling University Men's Soccer program for the 2022 season.

He has spent the last eight seasons at Division I Robert Morris University, where he had served as an Assistant Coach for both the Men’s and Women’s Soccer programs. Most recently, he served as an Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach for the Colonials in 2021, where he helped lead the team to a 6-10-3 record overall and a 2-6-3 record in conference play. Regan also recently received his National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Diploma and is a certified Level I, Level II, and Goalkeepers Coach.

However, the majority of his work at Robert Morris came as a Men’s Assistant Soccer Coach, a role he held from 2014-2020. RMU finished in the top four in the Northeast Conference, and qualify for the NEC Conference Tournament in 2015 and 2017. While working with the men’s team, Regan worked with All-American, 3-time NEC Player of the Year and MLS Draft pick (Portland Timbers) Neco Brett. He also coached three-time USL Cup winner and current Jamaica International Devon Williams. Additionally, Regan mentored former Pittsburgh Riverhounds goalkeeper Brendan Alfrey and helped him make the 2015 NEC Tournament Team. His goalkeepers were consistently some of the top performing in the conference as they helped the Colonials put together a strong defensive game.

Prior to his time at RMU, Regan spent one season in 2013 with NCAA Division III’s Carnegie Mellon University working with both the men’s and women’s teams. They both qualified for the NCAA Tournament that year with the men’s team progressing to the second round. Regan started his colligate coaching career spending three seasons with Washington and Lee University, serving as an assistant with the men’s programs. Regan helped lead Washington & Lee University to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) semifinals in 2010 and 2012.

As a player, Regan played four years of collegiate men’s soccer, the two at Robert Morris followed by two seasons in a Cardinals uniform. He helped lead Robert Morris to a conference championship and NCAA playoff berth as a freshman in 2005 and was selected as a two-time All-West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC) Goalkeeper during his two seasons at Wheeling. He is second all-time in single-season goals against average (1.13) and is tied for fifth all-time with 10 shutouts in a season with the Cardinals.
