Daniel Hott

Daniel Hott joined the WVU Potomac State Men's and Women's soccer programs as assistant coach in August 2022.


During his first season with the Catamounts, Hott has worked closely with head coach Mo Pratt in all aspects of the both the men's and women's programs. He helped both sides complete successful seasons, both reaching the NJCAA Region 20 Division II Tournament Semi-Final game. The men's side finished 9-7-1 overall. The women's side finished 9-6 overall.


Prior to Potomac State, Hott was the Sports and Recreation Director at the EQT Recreation Center in Waynesburg, PA.


He owns a U.S. Soccer Federation 4v4, 9v9, 11v11 Grassroots Liscense. Hott gained coaching experience at the club level with AVID Alliance in 2020-2021, as an assistant coach for the U-19 boys. He also coached Fort Hill High School's spring team in 2018 and 2019.


As a competitor, Hott was a five year starter as a forward for Waynesburg University. He was a 4-year All-Conference selection and captain two years for the Yellow Jackets.


Away from the college pitch, Hott has done individual soccer training since 2018.


Hott earned a bachelor's degree in History from Waynesburg University in 2021.
