• We are pleased to invite your team to apply to the East Tennessee Spring Classic! This tournament is a perfect early spring tournament choice for your team for many reasons.  March is a wonderful time to play soccer in East Tennessee.  The average high in the Knoxville area during this time of the year is in the mid-60s.

      THE U13, U14 AND U15 AGE GROUPS WILL BE PLAYED ON ARTIFICIAL TURF FIELDS, PRIMARILY AT MAYOR BOB LEONARD PARK IN FARRAGUT, WHICH IS ADJACENT TO KNOXVILLE.   WE ALSO EXPECT TO PLAY U16 AND ABOVE ON ARTIFICIAL TURF ON LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL FIELDS DEPENDING ON THEIR AVAILABILITY.  U9-U12 ARE EXPECTED TO PLAY ON WEATHER RESISTANT GRASS FIELDS IN BLOUNT COUNTY.  PLEASE NOTIFY US IF YOU DESIRE TO PLAY A STATE LEAGUE GAME IN THE TOURNAMENT.  THERE WILL BE NO EXTRA CHARGE, SUCH AS ADDITIONAL REFEREE FEES, FOR STATE LEAGUE GAMES.

      OLDER AGE GROUPS (U-13 AND ABOVE) WILL PLAY A SHOWCASE FORMAT.  OUR GOAL IS TO HAVE 4 OR 6 TEAMS IN EACH DIVISION TO HELP MAKE THIS FORMAT WORK WELL.  THE FORMAT FOR DIVISIONS IN YOUNGER AGE GROUP WILL  DEPEND ON THE NUMBER OF TEAMS IN EACH DIVISION.  

      We offer one of the most team-friendly tournaments that you could possibly find.  We permit game-day registration so that coaches and managers don't have to travel any earlier than necessary.  Our fees are very reasonable for a competitive soccer tournament, and Knoxville and Blount County have some of the most convenient and affordable lodging that you will find for a tournament.  We also offer one of a reasonable refund policy for a tournament at this time of year.  If we are forced to cancel the entire tournament due to weather, we will return your entire registration fee less a $50 processing fee to cover actual out-of-pocket costs that cannot be avoided.

      IF YOU ARE A COACH WITH TWO TEAMS AT THE SAME LOCATION, WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO AVOID COACHING CONFLICTS.  IF YOU ARE A COACH WITH TWO TEAMS PLAYING AT DIFFERENT LOCATIONS, WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO AVOID CONFLICTS FOR THOSE TEAMS BUT WE CANNOT GUARANTY THAT WE CAN DO SO.  ALL TEAMS SHOULD ARRANGE FOR AN ALTERNATE COACH TO BE AVAILABLE DUE TO CONFLICTS AND SHOULD MAKE SURE THAT SUCH ALTERNATE COACH IS SHOWN ON YOUR ROSTER.

      Our tournament is a cooperative East Tennessee effort between Blount United Soccer Club and the Knoxville Football Club, two of the oldest and most respected Clubs in East Tennessee.  Our Clubs are pooling their resources to sponsor a great tournament experience.

      • WEATHER UPDATEs

        As of 7:25 a.m., and after discussions with our referee assignor, the earliest start times will be at 11 a.m.   As of 6:45 Sunday morning, it appears that the last bank of storms will push through the area this morning, tapering off around 10 to rain.  We will be postponing all start times until 10 a.m. at the earliest.  We will post again here when the revised schedules are posted and email your coaches and managers.   As of Saturday at 10:30 a.m., we had to make some schedule adjustments due to lightning delays.  The website is updatd to reflect those adjustments except for Vulcan Fields in Maryville where adjustments are being made onsite.     As of Saturday, 7:25 a.m., we are planning to proceed with tournament games as scheduled.  All 11v11 games are on artificial turf fields, and those fields should remain playable.  Players can wear cleats on these fields, and we would recommend doing so for the best traction.  The grass fields used for the small-sided games are playable, and we plan to proceed with those games as well.  If lighting occurs in the area of any games, we will need to take the required breaks, which may result in schedule changes.  Information about any changes will be emailed to your coaches and managers, so please make sure they keep an eye out for updates.  We will also post general updates here as appropriate.
      • REGISTRATION OPEN

        WE EXPECT THE EAST TENNESSEE SPRING CLASSIC TO BE HELD THIS YEAR.  APPROPRIATE PROCEDURES TO ADDRESS PANDEMIC ISSUES WILL BE UNDERTAKEN.  THE REGISTRATION FOR THE TOURNAMENT IS OPEN.
      • U12 TEAMS PLAYING 11V11

        U12 TEAMS WANTING TO PLAY 11V11 SHOULD REGISTER IN THE U13 DIVISION.
    • U15 BOYS TEAMS WITH 8TH GRADERS/U8 TEAMS
      U15 BOYS TEAMS WITH 8TH GRADERS WHO ARE NOT PLAYING HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER SHOULD REGISTER FOR THE U15 BOYS GAP DIVISION.  SUCH TEAMS WILL BE BRACKETED WITH U14 TEAMS AND WILL PLAY BY U14 RULES.  U8 TEAMS MAY REGISTER IN THE U9 DIVISION.
    • CHECKING IN
      Managers should plan on checking in your team at least 45 minutes prior to kick off at the site of your first game of the tournament.
    • Notes on Scheduling
         Local teams (within 45 minutes of the applicable field) may be scheduled to play a game on Friday evening in the U-13 and U-14 brackets if needed to complete a bracket during the weekend.  In such a case, the teams requested to play on Friday shall be given at least one weeks' notice of a Friday game.  We will use our best efforts to schedule teams that are traveling more than 45 minutes but less than two hours after 10 a.m. for their first game on Saturday so that those teams will not be required to incur the cost of two nights' lodging. We cannot guarantee a late game, however, because it is not possible to predict how many teams will fit in this category.
    • Registration and Payment Deadline
      Registration deadline is March 7h.  We will only accept registration after that date if we need a team in an age group to fill out a bracket.  Please register today.  Payment must be received no later than March 7th for  a team to be included in the draw.
    • Age Group Locations

      U-9 through U-12 brackets are expected to be played at Vulcan Park in Maryville.  U13, U14 and U15 brackets are expected to be scheduled on artificial turf fields at Mayor Bob Leonard Park on Watt Road in Farragut and nearby high school fields. Further details will be forthcoming closer to the registration deadline.
