    • COVID-19 Update

      Updated: Thursday April 9

The health of all players, coaches, volunteers, referees, and spectators is of great importance to Tennessee Soccer Club.  Over the last several weeks, we have been following the guidelines and recommendations of the CDC and local health authorities in order to provide a safe environment.

Right now, we are still accepting applications to the Tennessee Invitational 2020.  We have been in discussion with Tennessee State Soccer this week and are considering a rescheduled date in June.  We feel potentially moving the event back 5-6 weeks will allow teams to resume activities and we can hold a successful tournament.  We would like no more than to be able to give the kids a safe place to play games before the end of the spring season.

Tennessee Soccer Club is committed to hosting the TNI 2020.  Thank you for your support as we continue through these uncharted waters.  We are waiting further direction from Tennessee State Soccer and as soon as we receive more info, we will communicate to all applied teams.  Moving forward, we will address all things involved with a potential reschedule for each individual team.  We will discuss entry payment, hotel rooms, removing teams if new date doesn’t work, etc.  For now, please trust we are doing our best and will communicate appropriately.  Look for another email in the next few days.

      Stay Safe and Stay Healthy!

      Updated: Saturday April 4

The health of all players, coaches, volunteers, referees, and spectators is of great importance to Tennessee Soccer Club.  Over the last several weeks, we have been following the guidelines and recommendations of the CDC and local health authorities in order to provide a safe environment.

Tennessee Soccer Club is currently planning to go forward with the Tennessee Invitational on May 8-10, 2020.  The Tennessee Invitational (TNI) is not canceled.  We are following guidelines from US Youth Soccer and Tennessee State Soccer while we recognize the current date of suspension runs until April 30.  We are hopeful soccer will be played in May.  We do realize if the suspension date is moved back further; we will be forced to re-evaluate our situation.

At this time, we have one week left in registration and currently have 230 teams entered to participate.  Once we close registration, we will begin working on acceptances, brackets, team check-in and the schedule.  We will communicate those steps next weekend.  For now, please continue to prepare for the event and look for additional communication next week.  We are very excited your team(s) have applied and remain hopeful we can host next month.  Be safe and stay healthy.

At this time, we are still accepting applications. If no further decision has been announced by early April, you will begin receiving normal tournament communications from the TSC Tournament Staff.

Please continue to prepare for our event.  If you are a traveling team that will need hotel accommodations, please work with PSE Travel immediately.  We do not want teams waiting until the last minute and having a hard time with booking accommodations.  Any decisions about potentially canceling the TNI 2020 will be made in plenty of time to stop hotel blocks so teams do not incur penalties.
