Dear USSF Referee:
You are invited to referee at the 2015 Appalachian Fall Festival presented jointly by FC Dallas TRI and Sullivan County Soccer Association (SCOSA) to be held in the Kingsport, TN on the weekends of October 3-4, 2015. We are expecting 80 teams from all over the south eastern United States to attend. The AFF tournament has been hosted in Kingsport and surrounding area for more than 25 years. General tournament information can be found on the tournament website by selecting "Information". Rules will be available later in the “Documents” section of this same tournament website.
We are looking for experienced referees (2+ years) with the experience and skills to work these games.
If you would like to referee at this tournament, or a future AFF tournament, and you are NOT in the “FC DALLAS TRI” group in ArbiterSports system please submit your name, USSF ID, referee grade, years officiating soccer, and a unique email address to firstname.lastname@example.org. These email applications will be processed as they
are received and referees will be registered by their email address into the FCDALLASTRI ArbiterSports system (www.arbitersports.com). Added referees will receive an email providing ArbiterSports login instructions. Each added referee must login and enter their personal information including SSN into ArbiterSports. Follow the sign up directions below.
To sign up for a particular tournament login to the FCDALLASTRI ArbiterSports group (108023). Under Profile, select Information. In the Information Screen, select the Custom Fields section to see the tournament and then place a “Y” in the appropriate tournament selection, click Save to return. Other items in that section can also be updated, like T-Shirt and hat size, lunch preference, etc. This tournament might have Friday afternoon/evening games, please add an “F” if you are also available on Friday. Do NOT check READY at this time if you are a Tournament only referee. You will be instructed when to Attach or Block teams and when to check READY.
Out-of-state referees must have their SRA send an email to email@example.com that they are currently certified and a referee in good standing and have been approved by their state’s SRA to travel to this tournament. This email should state the Referee’s full name and that he/she is applying to work the AFF Tournament. This must be done annually for any TN tournament. Once the estimated number of needed referees has applied, the tournament selection will be marked “closed”. Afterwards, a wait list sign up will be activated in the Custom Fields section that will take additional sign ups.
All assignments will be done via the web based assigning system, ArbiterSports (www.arbitersports.com), which can be accessed using Internet Explorer and other browsers. Referees should make sure their personal information is up to date. Referees who have multiple groups in ArbiterSports should insure that they block the other groups for the days of this tournament and set any AFF specific blocks for those tournament days. Also please insure that your Travel Distance is set correctly. Assignments will usually be sent out two weeks before the tournament. If you are unfamiliar with how to use ArbiterSports, please feel free to ask questions. Those questions can be addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
For referees officiating at this tournament, FC Dallas TRI / SCOSA will be providing the following:
- Match fees
- Lunch provided Saturday and Sunday
- Bonus pay for Grade 6 and 7 referees
- Water, drinks, and snacks supplied to referees at game sites
- A tournament gift for each referee
- Housing is available for those who travel more than 90 miles and plan to work at least 2 days. Rooms will be shared with another referee. Housing assignments are sent out the week of each tournament (usually on Wednesday for those coming Friday).
Thank you for your interest in the Appalachian Fall Festival soccer tournament.
