FIELD DIMENSIONS: 20 x 30 yds,

GOALS: The preferred goal size is 4’ x 6’

GOAL ARC: The goal arc, 20 feet wide and 10 feet deep, is directly in front of the goal. No player may touch the ball within the goal arc (while on the ground or in the air), however any player may move through the goal arc. Any part of the ball or player's body on the line is considered in the goal arc; the player is an extension of the arc. If a defender touches the ball in the goal arc, a goal is awarded to the offensive team (including but not limited to, dribbling through your own arc in the defensive half of the field). If the defender OR the ball is in the arc and contact is made, a goal is awarded. If an offensive player touches the ball within the goal arc, a goal kick is awarded to the defensive team. If the ball comes to a complete stop in the goal arc, regardless of which team touched it last, a goal kick is awarded to the defensive team.

GAME DURATION: The game shall consist of 2 x 11-minute halves separated by a 2-minute halftime period. Games tied after regulation play shall end in a tie except in playoffs.

SUBSTITUTION: Unlimited subs are allowed and may be made on any dead ball.

PLAYOFF OVERTIME (OT) SYSTEM: OT shall consist of a 3-minute golden goal period, with a coin toss to decide kick-off direction. The first team to score in overtime is the winner. If neither team has scored in the 1st 3-minute OT, each team will remove a player and play 2v2 for another 3-min GG OT period. If the score remains tied at the end of the 2nd OT, the teams will pull another player off and play 1v1 for subsequent OT periods until a goal is scored.

GOAL SCORING: Goals can only be scored from anywhere on the offensive half of the field of play. Balls played from the defensive half that deflects off either an attacking player or defensive into the goal will be restarted with a goal kick. For goals to be counted when balls are played from the defensive half of the field, a pure soccer move must be initiated by the attacker or the defender (such as a clearance gone bad). Own goals can only be scored from the team’s defending half of the field. 3-POINT SYSTEM (in GROUP PLAY): Match points will be given according to the following: 3 points for a win; 1 point for a tie, and 0 points for a loss.

TIEBREAKERS (after GROUP PLAY):

Ties in standings between two teams will be broken by:

1) head to head results between tied teams;

2) goal difference in group play;

3) goals scored in group play;

4) least goals allowed in group play,

5) shootout.

Ties between three or more teams will be broken as below: (when 2 teams remain, revert back to 2-team TB’s)

1) goal difference in group play;

2) goals scored in group play,

3) least goals allowed in play,

4) shootout.

FIVE-YARD RULE: In all dead ball situations, defending players must stand at least five yards away from the ball. If the defensive player's goal arc is closer than five yards, the ball shall be placed five yards from the goal arc.

NO OFFSIDES & NO SLIDE TACKLING ALLOWED IN 3V3 SOCCER: The only time a slide tackling motion is allowed is when a player is by him/herself; with no opponents within three yards (referee discretion will be used).

RESTARTS SIDELINE KICK-INS: Ball must be placed on line. The player has (2) options: 1) to kick the ball into play or 2) to dribble the ball into play; the ball must roll one complete rotation before it can be touched again. Goals can be scored on kick-ins if one full rotation occurs before the shot is taken or a deflection occurs from the kick-in. Opposing players must be at least 15 ft from ball placement. The referee will initiate the kick-in with a whistle or verbal command to “play”.

CORNER KICKS: The ball shall be kicked into play from the corner intersection. As on kick-ins and goal kicks, there is a dribble in option. The ball must roll one complete rotation before it can be touched again. A goal may be scored directly from a corner kick. Opposing players must be at least 15 ft from corner. The referee will initiate the kick-in with a whistle or verbal command to “play”.

GOAL KICKS: Taken from any point on the end line outside the goal arc area. Ball is placed on the line. The player has the option to dribble the ball into play. The ball must roll one complete rotation before it can be touched again. Opposing players must be at least 15 ft from ball placement. The referee will initiate the kick-in with a whistle or verbal command to “play”.

INDIRECT KICKS: Free kicks and kick-offs are indirect.

KICK OFF: Dribble-in is NOT an option. May be taken in any direction. You cannot score directly from kick off since the ball must be completely on the offensive half for a goal to be scored. Own goals cannot be scored on the kick-off.

PENALTY KICKS: Shall be awarded if, in the referee's opinion, a goal scoring opportunity was nullified by the infraction. It is a direct kick taken from the middle of the half-field line with all players behind the half-field line. If a goal is not scored, the defense obtains possession with a goal kick. Penalty kicks are not live balls.

FORFEITS: A forfeit will be entered as score of 6-0. Any team forfeiting two consecutive games in group play will be removed from the tournament. Any team forfeiting a game in playoffs will be removed from the tournament.

PROTESTS: There will be no protests allowed.
