Welcome to the Birmingham 3v3 Soccerfest
The World Futbol Tour is proud to announce the Birmingham 3v3 Soccerfest on July 7 hosted by the Vestavia Hills Soccer Club. This 1-day 3v3 event is a qualifier for the WFT World Cup III to be held on July 28-29, 2012 in Mooresville, NC. Teams playing in their first WFT event of the season will also be eligible to enter their State Champions Cup or the nearest one geographically.
2011-12 Season News
This
season represents the 3rd year for the World Futbol Tour and it will be
our best season to date. Guaranteed! Last year we introduced several
new ideas to improve the mission of the tour. Some of them were more
successful than others. We listened to you throughout the season and
learned much from the survey we sent out. Here are a few things to be
aware of this upcoming season:
- Field sizes: 20 x 30 yds (U6-U12) and 25 x 35 yds (U13-HS)
- Divisions: U6 (Open only), U7-U14 + HS (Gold and Silver levels)
- New
rules changes will be introduced to enhance the game and help curb
overly aggressive play and overly aggressive parents and coaches. CLICK HERE for the 2011-12 Rules
- All State Champions Cups will be open to teams that have participated in (1) WFT event
- A separate 6v6 Tour for adults will be launched.
- Special Note to Coaches and Parents/Spectators:
It is required of everyone participating in any WFT event this season
to read the Code of Conduct (parents/spectators, coaches) before each
event so that we can maintain a positive environment for the players.
