Tournament Eligibility
The ADIDAS Germantown Invitational in Memory of Larry Creson is open to select and premier teams registered and in good standing with their USSF affiliated association. Four different weekends encompass Age groups u9, u10, u11, u12, u13, u14, u15, u16, u17, u19 for boys and girls. 

Teams will be grouped according to past playing record to make the most competitive divisions possible. The Germantown Invitational Committee alone determines final placement. The Committee uses many factors when ranking teams including league playing division and record, State Cup and tournament results, USA Rank ranking service, etc.

All teams and players must be USSF affiliated for the current seasonal year. USSF roster and current player cards are required to participate.  Each roster must include the numbers of the players' jeresey participating in the tournament. Notification of travel is required for all teams from out-of-state unless you are a U.S. Club soccer member.

The computerized team application system will assign your age group based on the age of your oldest registered player.
Players and Guest Players
All players must by registered for the current seasonal year. A player may play for only one team during the tournament. 5 guest players are allowed for the showcase weekends.  Guest players must be registered and have a current player pass.



U15 - U19 will play three showcase games (no finals) - maximum roster size is 22 players, all may dress.

On-line registration:
On-line registration is quick and easy and must be paid by check.  Once your entry and fee is received and accepted, the entry fee is non-refundable.  (If your team is not accepted, your entry fee will be returned in its entirety.) While we encourage you to enter early, early application does not guarantee acceptance.

We will deposit all funds and return refunds to all teams not accepted.

Once your team has applied and been accepted your entry fee is non-refundable.

For travel preparations, Teams will play two games on Saturday. The earliest game Saturday begins at 8:00 am. The last games on Sunday will begin no later than 3:30 pm. Game schedules will not be adjusted to accommodate individual teams scheduling.  We do our best to accomodate coaches with more than one team.

College Coaches:
The Germantown Invitational will prepare a book of team information for u16, u17 and u19 age teams to assist the college coaches in their scouting efforts. Please complete the necessary information on the college section of the website.

We are always looking for qualified referees. If you know anyone available to referee please email or have them fill out the referee form under the referee tab on the website.

2015 ADIDAS Larry Creson Germantown Invitational Tournament Rules of Competition

Age and Eligibility: Age groups for teams are as follows:

Under 19- 1998 Birth year and younger    22 player roster

Under 17- 2000 Birth year and younger    22 player roster

Under 16- 2001 Birth year and younger    22 player roster

Under 15- 2002 Birth year and younger    22 player roster




Laws of the Game: All games shall be played in accordance with FIFA Laws, except as specifically modified by these rules.Unlimited substitution will be allowed with referee approval in the following situations: prior to a throw-in by team in possession or both teams, if team in possession first requests a substitution  / prior to goal kick by either team / prior to the restart of the game after a goal scored by either team / at the start of the 2nd half of play / prior to a restart of the game after an injured player is removed from the field (either team may sub 1 for 1; not unlimited substitutes)

Field and Game Equipment:
A.  Players must wear numbers on the back of their uniforms and these numbers shall coincide with those listed on the teams’ official GIT approved roster.

B.  If in the opinion of the referee uniform colors are similar, the designated home team will change colors.  Home team is listed first on the schedule and encouraged to wear light color jersey.

E.  The designated home team shall provide the game ball, unless tournament ball is available.



A.   Players, coaches and spectators are expected to conduct themselves within the spirit and the letter of the Law. Displays of temper or dissent are cause for ejection from the game and surrounding field area.

B.   Players, coaches and team officials ejected from a game by the referee shall be ineligible for the next scheduled game.  Any player or players ejected for fighting shall be ineligible for the remainder of the tournament.   All ejected players/coach’s cards will be held at soccer central until after suspension is served.

C.   All players and coaches will take one side of the field, and supporters will take the other side.  No one will be allowed behind either end line. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE NOT PERMITTED AT GAME SITES

Failure to Show and Forfeits:

A.      A team shall be allowed a 10-minute grace period after the scheduled kick-off time before the match is awarded to their opponent.  A minimum of 7 players constitutes a team and if 7 players are present, the game will not be delayed.


The tournament committee reserves the right to cancel or reschedule games or the entire tournament due to inclement weather conditions.  If the event is canceled entirely because of weather, we will refund a percentage of your entry fee. Teams will be refunded per game if the event starts and they play only one or two games.

Men U15-U19

The ADIDAS Germantown Invitational Tournament in a memory of Larry Creson is our club’s premier event. It was established in 1979.  We will play all the showcase games each weekend at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex in Southeast Shelby County one of the finest soccer specific facilities in the Southeast.  We play four weekends to accomodate all teams at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex.  Every year we accept over 450 teams from over 30 different states. We regularly have many state finalists or winners, as well as regional and national finalists. We also entertain O.D.P. Regional teams and some teams from out of the country. We host over 100 college coaches each showcase weekend offering players a tremendous showcase opportunity.

As you will see looking at past results, we have a wide variety of talented teams who regularly attend our tournament. Get your application in soon and make sure you don’t miss out on a great soccer event in Memphis.

We send invitations to over 600 college coaches to attend the GIT each year. We also have player profile information for our 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19-year-old teams to fill out and make available for the coaches.  The games all at the complex ensure accessibility for the college coaches.

We invite referees from all over to ensure that along with quality teams and surfaces the officiating is first class.  We have had 6 F.I.F.A. referees attend over the past three years including: Ali Saheli - current M.L.S. Referee, Kevin Stott - M.L.S. Referee, has officiated several World Cup Qualifiers, Brian Hall - World Cup 2002 Referee, M.L.S. Referee, has officiated several World Cup Qualifiers, and Kari Seitz - Women's World Cup Official.  We also invite National and State referees from all over the Region.
