Rules of Play

FORMAT OF PLAY
Each category will consist of eight (8) teams separated into two (2) groups of four (4). Each
group will play a stage of single round-robin (each team plays each other once). The top team 
of each group will advance to the category's final.

GAME DURATION:
Games consist of two (2) ten (10) min halves and a one (1) min half-time. Games tied after regulation play shall end in a tie except in the playoffs.

FIELD DIMENSION:
Fields are twenty (20) yards wide by (30) yards long. Goals are four (4) feet high by six (6) feet wide.  The goal box is an arc with a radius of six (6) feet.

NUMBER OF PLAYERS:
The number of players on a team is 6: four field players and two substitutes.  Only four players are allowed on the field at a time. The minimum number of players a team can field is three. There are no goalkeepers. A player can only play for one team.
PLAYER SUBSTITUTIONS:
Substitutions may be made at any dead-ball situation, regardless of possession. Teams must get the referee’s permission before making the substitution and players are to enter and exit at midfield. There are no substitutions on the fly.

PLAYER EJECTION (RED CARD):
Referees have the right to eject a player from the game for continual disobedience or as a result of an incident that warrants sending the player off. The player receiving a red card must sit out the rest of the game and will miss the following game.
PLAYOFF OVERTIME:
If after regulation time a match is tied, the teams will compete in a sudden death penalty kick shootout (from midfield, no goalies)
SCORING (IN POOL PLAY):
Games will be scored according to the following: three (3) points for a win; one (1) point for a tie; and zero (0) points for a loss.
TIEBREAKERS:
If teams are tied on total points in group play, the tie will be broken by the following: 1.) Head-to-head record 2.) Total goal differential; 3.) Goals for; 4.) Goals against; 5) Random draw.
FORFEITS:
The opponent of a forfeiting team will be granted a 3-0 victory. The forfeiting team will be granted a 0-3 loss. If both teams are not present at game time, both teams will be forfeited and will be granted a 0-3 loss.
5 MINUTE GRACE PERIOD:
Teams must have three (3) players with full uniform and equipment on the scheduled field to begin the match. Teams are given a five (5) minute grace period before a forfeit is declared, subject to the discretion of the tournament director.
PENALTY BOX:
There is no ball contact allowed within the goal box. However, any player may pass through the goal box. If the ball comes to rest in the goal box, a goal kick is awarded regardless of who touched the ball last. Any part of the ball or player's body on the line is considered in the goal box and is an extension of such. If a defender touches the ball in the goal box, a penalty kick is awarded to the offensive team. If an offensive player touches the ball within the goal box, a goal kick is awarded to the defensive team.
