Chris Haught-Thompson

Chris Haught-Thompson was hired in January 2017. During his first season at Knox, he led the women's program to the Midwest Conference regular season and tournament titles, giving the women's soccer program their second ever appearance in the NCAA tournament.

Haught-Thompson came to Knox after serving as the assistant women's soccer coach at Virginia Military Institute for 2 seasons (2015-2016). He helped the Keydets advance out of the first round of the conference tournament in back-to-back seasons for only the second time in program history. The 2016 season saw the program set a record for shutouts in a season.

Prior to arriving at VMI, Haught-Thompson was a familiar face as the assistant men's soccer coach at Lake Forest College where he helped lead the Foresters to two Midwest Conference titles and a MWC tournament title. He also served as the assistant women's soccer coach for a season at Lake Forest.

Haught-Thompson graduated from Lake Forest in 2012 with a B.A. in Psychology. He scored 26 career points for the Foresters with six goals and 10 assists. He was also a two-year captain, two-time Academic All-MWC honoree, and three-time All-MWC selection. He recently completed his master's degree from California University of Pennsylvania.

The site was a great resource to sort colleges by my selection criteria, connect with coaches and be a repository for all of my communications. Overall, the best site that I used in my college soccer search.
