Dan Andrews

Dan Andrews returned to Lake Forest College as the Foresters' head coach in 2024, which will be his ninth season as head coach, 10th with the program, and 16th in the profession.


Andrews led the 2022 Foresters to a 5-1-2 Midwest Conference record, the 18th league title in program history, and to the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament. Goalkeeper Szymon Mocarski as named MWC Defensive Player of the Year and was joined by defender Rafael Bonilla-Climaco and midfielder Karl Weisenfeld as First Team All-MWC selection. Three additional Foresters earned Second Team All-MWC honors..


Under the direction of Andrews, the Foresters also advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2015 and 2017 and claimed a conference title in 2016. The team is 71-60-8 overall and 45-15-2 in league play while outscoring opponents 270-210 with Andrews as head coach. Lake Forest's scoring average of 2.76 goals per game in 2015 is the second-highest mark in team history and the squad's goalkeepers have recorded 34 shutouts in 139 games during his tenure.


Lake Forest players have now been named all-conference 32 times, voted MWC Offensive or Defensive Player of the Year three times, and received all-region recognition seven times with Andrews as head coach. They have also earned 107 Academic All-MWC honors during that span, including a program record 21 in 2021.


Andrews served as an assistant at the College during the 2014 season and helped lead Lake Forest to a 6-2-2 record in Midwest Conference play. He assisted the head coach in all facets of practice, game, and travel preparation, as well as with player development, recruiting, scouting, and maintaining the team's academic success.


Prior to joining the staff at Lake Forest, Andrews had coached at various levels, including high school, club and college. His experience at the collegiate level included three seasons as an assistant at Moody Bible Institute, his alma mater. Moody won a pair of regional titles and claimed the 2011 NCCAA National Championship during his time on staff.


A native of Leeds, England, Andrews played for Leeds United FC Youth Academy as a young teen before moving to the United States after high school. He scored 66 goals in four years at Moody Bible Institute and was a two-time All-American and two-year team captain.

Kyle Jones

Kyle Jones joined the Forester coaching staff in 2024.


Prior to coming to the College, Jones had been the head boys soccer coach and physical education department chair at North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka, Illinois, since 2012. He led the Raiders to the first five Independent School League titles in program history and to the team's first 1A State Championship in 2023.


While at NSCDS Jones was a six-time ISL Coach of the Area, a Regional Coach of the Year, an Area Coach of the year, and a National Coach of the Year nominee. Several of his players have gone on to play at the collegiate level.


Jones founded a soccer skills coaching company called Illinois Skill Schools in 2012 and has also served as a director for Nike Soccer Camps since that time.


His experience also includes a two-year stint (2010-12) at The Manchester College in Manchester, England, as the Athletics Director, Head Soccer Coach, and Head of Soccer Coach Education.


Jones has earned United Soccer Coaches National, Advanced National, and Premier (with distinction) diplomas and attained English FA Level 1 and Level 2 distinction.


Jones graduated from Cornell University in 2005 with a degree in human development. He also earned a master's degree in coaching and athletics administration from Concordia University Irvine in 2021.
