Craig Golding

Craig Golding is entering his sixth season as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Carolina University.


In the 2022 season, Golding led the Bruins to win their second consecutive NCCAA South Regional Championship, their third since 2019, and the best record in program history at 13-3-1. Golding coached USCA First Team and NCCAA Second Team All American Mario Salanis


Since arriving at CU, Golding has led the Bruins to three Men’s NCCAA South Region Championships (2019,2021,2022) and four consecutive NCCAA National Championship appearances (2019,2020,2021,2022). In addition to overall team success, Golding has coached seven scholar athletes, three NCCAA All Tournament players, and an All American. In 2019 he was named the NCCAA South Region Coach of the Year.


Prior to leading the Bruins, Golding was the Head Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach at John Wesley University. In 2016, Golding led the Lions to win the NCCAA South Region Championship.


Golding resides in Clemmons, NC with his wife Ashely and children Aiden and Cora.

Tanner Theriot

Tanner Theriot is in his 6th season at Carolina University and his 4th as the Head Assistant Coach for the Men’s Soccer program.


A key figure in the 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023 regional titles, Tanner has been instrumental in aiding in the success of the program and in the production of 6 NCCAA D1 National All Tournament Players over his 6 years.


During his tenure at Carolina University, Tanner has worked diligently with Head Coach Craig Golding to fostered the development of 2 NCCAA D1 All Americans, mentored 19 NCCAA Scholar athletes, and guided the team to tournament appearances from 2019 to 2023.


In addition to his work at Carolina University, Coach Theriot also serves as the Head coach at North Carolina Rush Triad Club since 2020. His leadership has led to numerous accolades, including but not limited to: NCYSA 2024 Kepner Presidents Cup Finalist, NCYSA 2024 USYS State Cup Semi-Finalist, Spring League Champions 2024, USYS 2023 National Presidents Cup Finalist, USYS 2023 Southern Presidents Cup Regional Champion, NCYSA 2023 Kepner Presidents Cup State Champions, Spring League Champions 2023, NCYSA 2022 Kepner Presidents Cup State Champions, Spring League Champions 2022, and Fall League Champions 2021.


Tanner Theriot earned a master's degree in business administration from Carolina University. Before furthering his education at Carolina University, he excelled in 4 seasons of collegiate soccer at Bacone College, his alma mater. Additionally, he served as an assistant coach for the women's soccer program at Bacone for one season.
