Weather Update
We are thrlled to share that our hard work has paid off and all brackets of the 2026 Border Cup will play as scheduled. Thank you for your patience as we continue to do everything we can to ensure all games are played as scheduled.

Wednesday 3pm
After hours spent on the fields today we are happy to announce great progress. 7 of the 10 complexes we are using are ready for games & all roads leading up to facilities are clear. we expect 9 of the 10 complexes to be in the clear tomorrow and there is only 1 we are uncertain about at this point.
We will update tomorrow before noon as promised but we are starting to feel more confident that the event will take place.
Tuesday February 3rd
Good progress was made in regards to road clearing today with most major roads accessible. We expect continued progress over the next 48 hours as the temperatures reach into the 50s. The Fields are still covered in snow, and this is our major concern going forward. We are hopeful the fields will be cleared and playable by Thursday or Friday. We will update you again on Wednesday. Final decisions will be made on Thursday.
Monday February 2nd
We are monitoring the impact that this past weekends snow storm had in the Charlotte area. We expect much of the Snow to have melted in the next 48-72 hours as warmer temperatures arrive on Tuesday, above freezing levels. 9 of the 10 facilities in use for the event are played on Turf.
We will update everyone on Wednesday after hopefully a few days of snow removal and thawing of the playing surfaces, pathways and roads.
February 7-8 2026
All Games on TURF at Mecklenburg County Sportsplex, Comporium Park, Field Day Park, Harrisburg Athletic Park & Veterans Park.
3 Games Guaranteed with Finals in each Age Group.
