Team Staff Roles

Types of Team Staff

SincSports supports a variety of staff roles that can be associated with a team. Common staff roles include:

  • Head Coach
  • Assistant Coach
  • Team Manager
  • Administrator
  • Director
  • Parent
  • Team Associate
  • Other club or team support personnel

These roles help identify the individuals responsible for coaching, managing, and supporting the team throughout the season.

Why Add Staff Members?

Maintaining accurate staff information provides several benefits:

  • Helps players and families identify team leadership
  • Improves communication between team members and staff
  • Allows event organizers to contact the appropriate team representatives
  • Ensures accurate team records
  • Supports team administration and management

Staff Access and Permissions

Staff Members

Users connected as Coaches, Managers, Administrators, Directors, or other staff roles can be granted team management access.

If a team does not currently have any staff members associated with it, you can select "Make Me a Staff Member" and immediately connect yourself to the team as a staff member.

If the team already has staff members, your request will be sent to the existing staff for approval. If no action is taken within 48 hours, the request is automatically approved.

Once approved, staff members may be able to manage team information, rosters, communications, schedules, and results, depending on their permissions.

Team Associates

A Team Associate can connect to a team without receiving staff-level permissions.

Team Associates can:

  • View the team page
  • Access the team through their dashboard
  • View the team in the SincSports app

Team Associates cannot:

  • Manage team information
  • Update rosters
  • Edit schedules or results
  • Access staff management functions

This option is ideal for club administrators, volunteers, or others who need visibility into team activity without administrative access.

Following a Team

Users may also choose to Follow a Team.

Following a team allows it to appear on your dashboard and in the SincSports app, making it easy to keep track of schedules, results, and updates.

Followers:

  • Do not receive staff access
  • Cannot make updates to team information
  • Are not visible to the team's staff

This option is often used by family members, fans, scouts, or anyone interested in following a team's activity.
