Before you entere times for the tournament days and fields, you must define the dates that games will be played and all venues and fields.
Define the dates on the Tournament Settings screen.
Enter the Venues and Fields on the Venues screen.
The purpose of this screen is to identify the fields that will be used in the tournament and establish the available game slots at each field. The process and instructions can seem complicated, however, taken one step at a time it will make sense.
There are 3 main categories of schedules.
- Default Tournament Schedules
- Default Site Schedules
- Default Field Schedules
Default Tournament Schedules:
The only required schedule is the Default Tournament Schedule. This will apply to all venues, fields and dates except where it is overridden.
A schedule may be created for each day, which would override the Default for that day only. A "D" will appear on the line if a daily override has been created.
Default Site Schedules:
Each site may have overriding schedules if they differ from the standard tournament schedule. Just like the Tournament schedule, the override can be a default for the venue or a custom schedule can be created for each day.
A "S" will appear on the line if a site override has been created.
Default Field Schedules:
Some fields at a given site may have a schedule that differs from the standard tournament schedule or even the site schedule. This is often the case for the fields that are being used for shorter, small-sided games. Just like the Tournament schedule and Site schedule, the override can be a default for the field or a custom schedule can be created for each day.
A "F" will appear on the line if a field override has been created.
Update Process:
You may click update on any line which will bring up a pop-up window that will allow you to create a custom schedule or remove one. To save time, the update screen has a dropdown list that includes all custom field schedules created for the tournament. Custom schedules will only have one entry in the drop down box. They are associated with thefirst field (alphabetically) that is using it.
