Daniel Whelan concluded his eighth season at the helm of the University of Mobile Men's Soccer program in 2021 after taking his team to their third-straight NAIA National Championship Tournament appearance during the 2021 season. The Rams finished as runner-up in the national tournament, falling to Keiser University in the 2021 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship match.
Before taking over as head coach at Mobile, he previously spent five seasons at as assistant coach for the Rams, with prior stops at Spring Hill and Embry-Riddle.
