We invite your team to join us at the 2021 AFC Lightning Challenge on August 20th - 22nd for some great soccer to start the season!
Registration opens May 2021. Once you complete your registration, you will receive confirmation that your application has been received.
If the tournament is canceled due to COVID-19, accepted teams will receive a full refund minus a $20 administrative fee.
When applying, teams will have the option of selecting to play on Friday evening (6 pm or later), or only play on Saturday and Sunday. Friday games are not required and will depend upon team availability on that day. Three games are guaranteed.
U14 and younger teams will be playing a traditional tournament format where teams are placed into groups for round-robin play to determine advancement to final. Awards will be presented to Champions and Finalists.
U15 and older teams will be playing a showcase format, where teams will play 3 scheduled games with no advancement to a final. The tournament staff will post standings but there will not be advancement nor trophies/plaques for teams winning the event.
