The 12th annual Kick 4 a Cause 4v4 is Saturday, January 24, 2026 at WRAL Soccer Park. This single-day event is a dedicated tournament where the soccer community comes together - including players, parents, referees, and volunteers - to grow the game to all who want to play through NCFC Youth's financial aid program and community soccer outreach, ensuring all kids have access to play and be part of a team.
For 2026, funds raised from the event will be shared among NCFC Youth's financial aid program (designed to fill the gap between what a family can afford to pay and the required club fee at every level) and a cash grant donation to NC Power Soccer, North Carolina's first power soccer team dedicated to bringing the thrill of competitive sports to athletes who use power wheelchairs.
NCFC Youth started supporting NC Power Soccer in Fall 2025 with equipment donations, providing end of season medals, and providing athletes with team backpacks. Our support of this program will continue in the spring with the addition of athlete uniforms and more support as needed. A portion of funds raised through Kick 4 a Cause will be used to support NC Power Soccer's vlunteer coaches and referees with certification and training, cover insurance and registration costs, continue to keep the program free of charge for athletes, and support equipment costs to upfit power chairs with power soccer adapted materials.
We will keep our tournament hosting costs minimal thanks to the generosity of referees who are asked to donate their time, lunch donations, and no trophies/medals, which will maximize funds raised!
Check out this video that highlights the broader impact of soccer on the lives of young people (featured at our 2025 Beyond the Pitch fundraiser which raised more than $240,000 for financiai aid). To learn more about NC Power Soccer, click here.
4v4 History:
In past years, NCFC Youth's Kick 4 a Cause 4v4 has raised more than $120,000 to support other community non-profits in their efforts to support the needs (health, education, etc.) of underserved youth in our community. In 2024, in honor of our 50th Anniversary year, NCFC Youth brought this event back in house to support our own internal non-profit fundraising needs and meet the demand for increased financial aid applications. It is our goal to make soccer accessible to all who want to play, and removing the financial barrier is one way to do this. This year, we look forward to sharing these funds with NC Power Soccer in their efforts to include and develop more kids through soccer.
