The tournament is just days away and we can't wait for the games to begin. This is the second of two emails we are sending out this morning - the first is on how to make sure your team has what it needs to play each game. If for some reason you didn't get the first, let us knokw.

We anticipate a great weekend of soccer but we know that injuries do happen. If you've attended in the past, you know we put a high priority on the safety of the participants. To that end, we wanted to provide you with the procedures for getting an Athletic Trainer to help an injured player.

In the event that a player sustains an injury during a game that requires attention, please call one of the hotline numbers to provide some information about the injury and what field the player is on. One of the Athletic trainers will come out to see the player. In order to make sure that multiple people are not calling about the same injury, each team should assign a person to be "the designated caller" for each game. Please don't have multiple people calling as it will hinder the ability of the staff to timely help each injured person.

The Injury hotline numbers are (310) 862-0757 and (310) 968-2259. Please note that there will also be a binder at each field, on the players’ side that will contain the phone numbers as well.

Lasty, because we want to have the Athletic trainers available for potentially serious injuries, we ask that you don't call the athletic trainers simply to get ice. We ask the coaches/managers to bring ice as they would a regular game. But if a player needs to be seen, by all means, call the hotline.

Joel, Henry and Matt
